Matches
Our 2009 match schedule is as follows:
- June 28
- JUNE 28th ICORE and BOWLING PIN SIDE MATCH
June's ICORE match is set. Sign up will begin at 9:30, with the match starting promptly at 10:30. The match will include 7 stages with a minimum round count of 209. There will be one ICORE classifier included in the 7 stages.
THIS WILL BE A X-COUNT MATCH!!! With the exception of the classifier stage, all paper will be scored with the X-count bonus subtracting 1 second for each shot within the X-ring. A hits , B hits, C hits and misses will be scored with +0, +1, +2, and + 5 second additions, respectively, to raw time as usual. Steel will be scored as usual, hit or miss. Again, minimum round count is 209, however plan accordingly as extra shots and pickups will be allowed on most stages and the slight possibility of a stage reshoot exists. The highest round count for any stage is 41 (not including extra shots), so plan your reloads accordingly.
BOWLING PIN SIDE MATCH - Beginning at 8:45, there will be a bowling pin side match. The format will be;
Any revolver may be used. Any caliber will be allowed. A holster will not be necessary to run the actual stage.
The fastest time from start signal to all 5 pins knocked from table will win.
Cost per run will be $5.00. Shooter's may run as many times as time, ammo and personal finances permit. First place will receive 50% of the pot.
Second fastest score will receive 25% of the pot.
The remaining 25% will go to Silver Creek.
- July 26
Eight total stages with a minimum count of 217. There will be 3 classifiers, one of which will be a shots unlimited stage. We are also going to run another par time steel stage this month, but with a completely different look than last time. There will be only one multi-string stage.
To fight the potential Ohio Valley heat and humidity, beyond 3 Texas stars, there will be nothing to reset. Mostly static steel and D-1s this time. We'll also run 2 stages in one bay, with 5 stages in 4 adjacent bays.
To plan your reloads I'll give you a brief list of what you are looking at as far as round count per stage.
Stage 1 - 36 rds unlimited, 18 paper
Stage 2 - 17 rds, unlimited, 11 paper
Stage 3 - 40 rds, unlimited all steel however Par time (reloads can be set downrange).
Stage 4 - 18 rds, unlimited all steel
Stage 5 - 16 rds, limited, 6 paper
Stage 6 - 24 rds, limited, 5 paper
Stage 7 - 41 rds, unlimited, 18 paper/5 steel (sorry, but reloads from belt only on this one)
Stage 8 - 25 rds, unlimited, 5 steel, five strings.
Multi-Gun Side Match
Also, Mr. J is going to run one of his famous side matches. Shooter's would need both a shotgun with a trap style load and their match wheel gun with holster. This will be a combo style match, round count 5 trap and 4 pistol rounds. As always, $5 per run. First place wins 50%, second place 25% and the club receives 25%. The side match will begin at 8:45 and run up until our match begins at 10:30, or everyone has run out of cash.
- August 23
The following is the description for our August 23h ICORE match:
Eight total stages with a minimum count of 197. There will be 2 classifiers, one of which will be a shots unlimited stage. There will be only one multi-string stage.
Just like last month, beyond Texas stars, there will be nothing to reset. Mostly static steel and D-1s.
To plan your reloads I'll give you a brief list of what you are looking at as far as round count per stage.

Stage 2 - 25 rds, unlimited, 25 steel (including 3 stars)
Stage 3 - 12 rds, limited, 4 D-1s

Stage 7 - 36 rds, unlimited, 12 D-1s/12 steel (sorry, but reloads from belt only on this one)
Stage 8 - 20 rds, unlimited, 5 D-1s.
Also, just for fun, we’ll post results 3 different ways just to see how it stacks up. One will be “Overall”, One will recognize Limited and Open, and we’ll post based on “Retro” (6-shot, speedloaders) just to see what happens.

Registration starts at 9:30 am with shooting beginning at 10:30 am. Paper and steel setup for the ICORE monthly match is the day of the match at 8:00 am, help is always needed and greatly appreciated. Most matches have 6 - 8 stages requiring a minimum of 150 - 200 rounds of ammunition. However, for most of us unskilled guys, a 200 minimum usually means we have about 250 on hand. There is also the possibility, though rare, of a stage reshoot. There will also always be a minimum of 1 ICORE classifier per match.

General Match Information
Beginning in May of 2008, Silver Creek Conservation Club hosts an ICORE Revolver Match on the fourth Sunday of every month.
Match registration begins at 9:30 a.m. We begin shooting at 10:30
a.m. At the end of the match, any assistance in match breakdown is
appreciated as our ICORE club is committed to leaving the range in
better condition after a match than when we started.
Match fees are $18.00, however Silver Creek Conservation Club members
receive a $5.00 discount. ICORE members or prospective members may
shoot the classifiers for record for an additional charge of $2.00
per classifier (which is forwarded to ICORE Statistician). If requested
in advance, match staff will allow limited shooters to shoot classifiers
a second time with an open revolver and vice versa for open shooters.
To keep the match moving and to ensure safety, this will be managed
at the end of the match. An additional $2.00 per shooter per classifier
will also be collected.
Matches will include between 6-8 stages with a total minimum match
round count between 150 - 200 rounds. A minimum of 2 classifiers
will be offered at each match. In addition match stages will include
ICORE standards, IRC stage facsimiles, Steel Challenge stages and
many of our own creative challenges.
